We believe that the Holy Bible, as originally written, was verbally and divinely inspired by the Infallible God and through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, was placed upon the hearts of Spirit controlled men, and therefore is true without any mixtures of error for its matter.
We believe it is the true center of Christian union and the only infallible rule for all human conduct, creeds, and opinions. 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21
We believe that there is only one living and true God, infinite in every excellence; that in the unity of the Godhead there are three personal distinctions: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; yet one in substance and equal in every divine perfection. Exodus 20:2-3; 1 Corinthians 8:6; John 5:7
We believe in the absolute deity of the Son, the Lord Jesus Christ; that He was divine as no other man can be, being God in the Flesh, existing from all eternity; co-equal with the Father and the Spirit; that He never ceased to be God of one instant and that His humiliation did not consist in laying aside His deity; that as man, He was miraculously begotten of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. John 1:1-4; 1 John 5:20; Matthew 1:20; Luke 1:26-38
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine person, equal with the Father and Son and of the same substance nature; that He convicts of sin; righteousness and judgment, bears witness to the truth, teaches, witnesses to, sanctifies, and helps the believer, indwelling every child of God. 2 Corinthians 13:14; John 14:16-17: Romans 8:14-27
We believe in the distinct personality of Satan, that he is the unholy god of this age, having been cast out of heaven. Remains the author of all powers of darkness and sin; and that he is destined to be confined forever in the lake of fire. Matthew 4:1-3; Corinthians 4:4; Revelation 20:10
We believe that God created the heavens and the earth, including all life, (each after its own kind) by direct creative act, and not by the process of evolution. Genesis 1; Genesis 2; Colossians 1:16-17; John 1:3
We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male and female. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God (Genesis 1:26-27). Rejection of one’s biological sex is a rejection of the image of God within that person.
We believe that man, in the person on the first Adam, was created in innocence, but by voluntary transgression fell into sin, thus plunging the whole human race into condemnation and death, so that now all mankind is born in sin and shaped in iniquity and becomes willful sinners with the first expression of personal choice and are therefore without excuse. Genesis 3; Romans 5:10-19
We believe that the only escape from condemnation of sin is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, when he voluntarily took upon himself a human body and nature, yet without sin, and by His suffering, death and resurrection made full satisfaction to the justice of God for the sin of man; that the gift of salvation is given on the grounds of grace to all who believe in Jesus and trust Him as their personal Savior. John 1:1-17; John 3:1-8; Acts 16:30-33; Hebrews 10:4-14; Acts 16:31
We believe that by repentance and faith in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ, man is Saved. We believe that is salvation is wholly by grace through faith; that no works, however good, make salvation secure. Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5-7; Romans 10:9-13
We believe that all who accept Christ as their Savior are born from above and are eternally secure in Christ. John 19:28-29; Romans 8:35-39; Philippians 1:6
We believe that sanctification is the process by which, according to the will of God, we are made partakers of His holiness; that it is carried on the hearts of believers by the presence and power of the Holy Spirit and in continuous study and application of the Word of God in self-examination, self-denial, watchfulness, and prayer. John 17:17; Ephesians 5:25-27; 1 Thessalonians 5:23
We believe that only true, born-again Christians are preserved and kept by the power of God; that their continued faithfulness and dedication is the grand mark which distinguishes them from superficial professors; that God’s providence watches over their welfare. We believe that true salvation is everlasting. John 3:16; John 10:5; John 10:27-29; Jude 24:2; 2 Timothy 1:12; 1 Peter 1:5
We believe that a visible church of Christ is a congregation of baptized believers, associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the gospel; observing the ordinances of Christ; governed by His laws; and exercising the gifts, rights, and privileges invested in them by His Word; that its only scriptural officers are bishops, pastors, and deacons, shows qualifications, claims and duties defined in the epistles of Timothy and Titus. 1 Timothy 3:1-5; Titus 1:5-9; Matthew 16:15-19; Acts 2:47; 1 Corinthians 7:17; Colossians 1:18
We believe that there are two church ordinances: Believers Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
Baptism is the immersion of a believer in water and is properly called “believers’ baptism”. It sets forth, in a beautiful and solemn way, our faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior. It also proclaims to the world through faith in Him our death to sin and our resurrection to a new life.
The Lord’s Supper is the commemoration of our Lord’s death until He comes and our continual fellowship with Him. Only unleavened bread and unfermented wine should ever be used. The Lord’s Supper should be preceded by Baptism and always be careful self-examination. Act 8:36-39; Romans 6:3-5; 1 Corinthians 11:23-32
We believe that the first day of the week is the Lord’s Day, of Christian Sabbath; and is to be kept sacred to religious purposes; avoiding activities, either work or recreation, that would prevent one from focusing on the holiness of God and His works of love and compassion towards us. The first day of the week Sunday, proclaims the resurrection of Christ and should be set aside as a day of corporate worship. John 20:19; Luck 24:1; 1 Corinthians 16:2
We believe that there is a radical and essential difference between the righteous and the wicked; that only those who through faith have trusted in the redeeming work of Jesus Christ, and being cleaned through His shed blood, justified through His name and being sanctified by the Spirit of God, are truly righteous in His regard; while all those who continue in impenitence and unbelief are in His sight wicked and under the curse, and this distinction holds among men during life and after death. Malachi 3:18; Matthew 25:34-46; luck 6:25; John 8:21-24; Romans 6:17-23
We believe there are only two places of eternal abode. Those who have accepted Christ as their personal Savior will go to heaven. Those who reject the atoning work of Jesus upon Calvary have no hope of eternal life in heaven and will spend eternity in a burning hell forever separated from God. There is no work or works of forgiveness after an individual has died. The individual’s eternal state is sealed at their moment of death. Luke 16:19-31; John 14:1; 2 Corinthians 5:6-8; Philippians 1:21-23; Revelation 20; Revelation 21; Isaiah 5:14-15; Isaiah 14:9
We believe in the resurrection of the bodies of the dead; that the believers’ bodies (not Souls) who sleep in Jesus will be raised at the coming of Chris for His church (the Rapture) and caught up with the transformed living saints to meet the Lord in the air. And that the wicked dead will be raised at the close of the millennial kingdom and stand in their bodies at the great whip throne judgement to receive their final doom. John 5:21-29; 1 Thessalonians 4:16; Revelation 7:9-17; Revelation 20:11-15
We believe in the bodily, personal, pre-millennial return of Jesus Christ; that He will come before the great tribulation period to catch away His church, coming in the air; and His church, both dead and living, will be caught up to meet him. He will not come to earth at this time, but at the close of the tribulation period, He will return with His church to judge the living nations and to set up His Kingdom on earth, which will be a duration of one thousand years of peaceful reign. Matthew 25:21-29; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-19; Revelation 19:11-21
We must uphold the sanctity of human life. We believe life is a gift of God from the moment of conception to natural death without exception. Deuteronomy 30:19
We believe that the term ‘marriage’ has only one meaning and that is marriage sanctioned by God which joins one man and one woman in a single exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture. We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to only occur between a man and a woman who are married to each other. We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman. We believe that any form of sexual immorality, including adultery, fornication, homosexuality, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, pornography, or any attempt to change one’s sex, or disagreement with one’s biological sex, is sinful and offensive to God. We believe that in order to preserve the function and integrity of the church as the local Body of Chris, and to provide a biblical role model to the church members and the community, it is imperative that all persons employed by the church in any capacity, or who serve as volunteers, should abide by, and agree to this Statement on Marriage and Sexuality and conduct themselves accordingly. We believe that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking his mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. We believe that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity. Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with scripture now the doctrines of the church.
